Noise complaints

Bern Airport, the airlines, and pilots are obliged to comply with noise-reducing measures through divers measures and trainings such as acoustic courses. Periodical noise measurements show that the maximum noise levels are kept with a good reserve. The airport opening hours are defined in the operating regulations document, which is current and has not changed for several years. Only REGA and federal rescue helicopters have a 24 hours flight authorization.

Rules for noise complaints

If you have complaints about aircraft noise, we ask you to submit your request to the office of ombudsman by the form below. You will be contacted by us or the responsible office within a reasonable period of time.

Complaints by phone can no longer be accepted. Anonymous messages or insults will not be answered. For obvious reasons, names and addresses of pilots or crew members will not be disclosed.
